BASIC PSYCHOLOGICAL APPROACHES TO UNDERSTANDING EMOTIONS
Abstract. This article reviews the main approaches to understanding emotions, including the theories of James-Lange, Cannon-Bard, and Schachter-Singer, S. Freud and P.K. Anokhin. Classification and theoretical frameworks are reviewed, also as methodological approaches to study emotions are discussed. The study emphasises the interdisciplinary nature of modern emotion science and its relevance to understanding human experience and developing effective interventions to improve the emotional well-being of individuals.
